JobNet offers a number of services specifically designed to assist employers in matching their jobs to qualified job seekers. JobNet’s connection to both the unemployed and employed work force, and to local community resources, provides a qualified applicant pool which has the power to match with jobs from entry-level to executive professionals.

Key Services:

Posting available jobs on Job Quest, a statewide database with an option to post on a nationwide JobCentral  website. JobNet also features openings on a “Catch of the Day” Board in the career center. To post a job: send your job information to: jobnetboston@gmail.com

On-site recruitment sessions allows employer representatives to meet pre-screened qualified candidates and explain opportunities that are available.  The option to conduct on-the-spot interviews is available.

Candidate referrals JobNet will send employers qualified, pre-screened candidates who meet the requirements of the job.

Career fairs Community Career Fair, Veteran Job Fair, Industry Specific Job Fair, you name it…We are doing it.  You must experience one of our events if you have not already.  Our events are located out in the community or at our office in Boston.

Help with exploring a variety of business incentive programs including tax credits and workforce training grants.

Rapid Response – Employer and Employee Services

What is Rapid Response?

The Rapid Response program helps Employers and Employees who are in transition mode, whether they are expanding or downsizing.

The Massachusetts Department of Career Services Rapid Response team provides statewide, early intervention, and no-cost re-employment services for companies and their employees affected by layoffs and closings.  By working with Rapid Response, you can expect:

  • A quick  response to your transition planning needs
  • Information about alternatives that could possibly lessen the impact of a layoff
  • Information to even avoid the layoff altogether
  • Pre-layoff services designed to help workers shorten their transition time
  • Assistance in preparing affected workers to find new employment
  • Information about the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act (WARN) and plant closing laws
